1 and a half months ago I decided to apply to Saba and MUA. Although I was interviewed for and accepted into MUA for Fall, 2018, I never heard back from Saba. I was planning on attending MUA before I unexpectedly recently received an interview invitation for Saba for the Fall, 2018 semester. The issue I have is that MUA only gives you three weeks to decide if you plan on attend, and my Saba interview will take place one day before I am required to submit my MUA $250 deposit and letter of intent. MUA is the only other acceptance I have and I am hesitant to turn down MUA in case I eventually get denied post interview. Ultimately however, Saba is my #1 choice.
Would it be a good idea to email MUA and request a deadline extension or would it look bad on my part? Especially because MUA and Saba are owned by the same corporation. I could just pay the $250 and submit the LOI and back out if accepted to Saba but thats my last resort.. that is alot of money for me and I feel like it would look sketchy and dishonest on my part because as mentioned, same company etc.
If anyone has any advice on my situation, please let me know. Thanks!

Got a couple questions answered in J.MD's thread from 2015, and thought now that I'm in his/her position I'd do the same.
I'm a 2018 Saba grad who matched to a university residency program this year.
I'd be happy to answer any questions about the school from prospective/current students.

I was thinking of applying to saba university for 4 year medicine course.
Can someone tell me about the university
Is it worth it
And what is the residency match rate?
So I'm a prospective student looking to start medical school in January. I have have applied to a few caribbean schools and when I was researching Saba I came across something concerning...I had heard that they've been having trouble with their new curriculum and hurricanes. And then I found on the school's gainful employment page, it states that less than 10 students are enrolled in this the program. Does anyone know what is going on down their? I'm really hesitant to apply to this school, is the school closing its doors??
Saba med school ended its MD program in 2016 & just thought I should let you guys now incase you already didn't !!! $250,000 for a MS in Healthcare Management is a lot of money, but in all seriousness I thought I should post this here since I haven't seen anyone talk about it !
Just wondering if anyone knows which hospitals/universities are currently being used for core rotations at Saba? Is kansas city / UMKC still available for gen surg, IM, obgyn? I'm a grad from 2012 and just trying to find out for a friend whether the rotations are still decent, or if she should look at another school.

Got admission to both. Cost wise Saba is ~125K cheaper. They both look like good schools. SGU seems to better organized or their marketing dept is better. Is SGU that much better than SABA? any info you can share about either school is greatly appreciated. need to make a decision this week.
