I have been accepted to SABA for this upcoming september semester.
While I'm ecstatic that I've been given this opportunity, I'm concerned over my academic ability to handle the curriculum.
My degree was in biology which I did at a Canadian university. My first 2 years I averaged about 2.5 gpa and they contained most of the pre-req science coursework. However, during the final 2 years I averaged a 3.9 gpa and these 2 years contained many upper level science courses including anatomy, histology, pathology, physiology, organic chem, and other biology subjects such as plant physiology, plant ecology, animal physiology, etc.
I did not take the MCAT as Canadians do not have to.
I am no dummy and I firmly believe that my earlier poor performance was caused by lack of studying, not due to poor academic ability. I have since changed my study habits and greatly improved my time management skills.
The reason I'm on the fence is because I have a job offer at an accounting company which would eventually lead to the chartered accountant designation. but my true dream job is to be a physician...
