Just a quick description of how it has been going on the island.
Hope that helps. If you have any more questions, I'll try to answer as best I can.
- Weather is amazing if you like hot summers and tons of rain.
- Hillside dorms are nice but they nickel and dime you.
- The classes are not impossibly hard, but expect to study minimum of 3 hours each day.
- The stores are reasonably stocked, but most items are quite expensive.
- Barely any study space on campus, library is always full.
- Students are pretty laid back for the most part.
- Time drags on for the first couple of weeks and starts to pick up once you're past block 1 (I hope).
- Don't buy any textbooks unless you really want to study from a physical book. Everything is on the servers.
- Professors are decent, administration is less so.
- Histology is the silent killer.
- Seeing people retaking classes is the most depressing and frightening thing imaginable. Might just be because if any of our class fails ANY semester, we will have to wait until the following year's match.
- Lastly, it's very doable. If you put in the work you will succeed. Don't let people on here and SDN, etc, get you down. But be prepared. The amount of material we learn for each block feels like a semesters worth of material. AND THERE'S 5 BLOCKS.
Hope that helps. If you have any more questions, I'll try to answer as best I can.
